Knowledge is power and education empowers.  According to Nelson Mandela     “Education  is  the  most  powerful  weapon  which  you  can  use  to  change  the  world”   The  most  effective  means  of  achieving  sustainable  global development  lies  solely on  quality  education.   Quality  education  enables  people  to  develop  all   their  attributes  and  skills  to  achieve  their  potential  as  human  beings  and   members  of   a  society.  Education  has  the  potential  to  become  one  of  the  most  powerful  catalysts  for  development  in  years  ahead  serving  as  a  bridge  from  poverty  to  prosperity,  quality  education  is  a  necessary  component  for  the  foundation  of  any  successful  society.  Quality  education   is  one  that  provides  all  learners  with  capabilities  they  require  to become  economically  productive ,  developing   sustainable   livelihoods ,  contributing   to  peaceful  and  democratic  societies   and  enhancing  individual  well-being.  Education   is  the  most  important  tool  for  the  betterment  of  humanity  as  well  as  developing  modernization  in civilization . Quality education   is  one  that  focuses  on  social,  emotional,  mental,  physical  and  cognitive  development  of  a  learner regardless  of  gender,  race,  ethnicity,  socioeconomic  status   or  geographic   location.  Furthermore,  quality education  enables  us  to  lead  a  successful  life,  enhances  our  intelligence ,  skills,  knowledge,  and  brings  positive  changes  in  our  lives.

Quality   Education  is  extremely  important  for   the  development   of   the  Oro  society,  it   is  the  process  of  instruction aimed at all  round  development  of   the  people, the  youths  especially;  it’s  the  wealth that  cannot  be  robbed  as  it  will  enable  people  to  contribute  to  some  of   the  societal  development.  Furthermore,  it’s   a  significant  sector  of  any  nation,  education  means  a  form  of   self  development  in  shape  of  learning,  knowledge,  skills  and  habits  to  be  conveyed  from  generation  to  next ; it  can  also  be  any  art  or experience  that  has  a  formative  effect  on the  mind, character  or  physical  ability  of  an  individual.  Access  to  quality  education  plays  a  pivotal  role  in  the  development  of  a  society  in  every  aspect,  be  it  in  social , cultural  or  moral  development.  Development  on  the  other  hand   refers  to  the  total  and  complete  transformation  in  any  given  ratifications  either  as  an  individual  or  as  a  society.  Education   promotes   peace   and   reduces   drop-out   rates   from  schools   and    universities,   these   day  school   students  are  restricted  only  to  academic  activities,  we  also  need  to ensure  that   school  education  equips  the  students  with  necessary  life  skills.  Quality  Education   is   the   backbone   of   any   country,   it   plays   a  crucial  role  in  technological   development  and  impacting  various  skills,  values  and  awareness.   If  a  country  has  a  higher  literacy  rate,  it  will  lead  to  a  lower unemployment  rate,  education  impact  social  change   by   improving   individual  social  position  as  well  as  standard   of living. Education  tends  to  create   employment  for  many  people  which  are  a great  pillar  for  the  nation’s  development.  Education  generates  a lot  of resources  which  are  used  in  nation’s  development.

Quality  Education  has  the  ability  to  transform  a  person  and  provide  a  perspective  to  see  their  life  from  a  different  view, education  gives  us  the  ability  to  turn  information  into  knowledge  which  is  essential  for  solving  problems  and  developing  analytical  skills.  Education  is  the  driving  force  for  the  national  development  and  economic  growth  of  a particular  society,  if   the  inhabitants  of  a  society  are  educated,  they  can  easily  grow  up  the  national  economy because  they  know  the  economic  principles  and  rules.  Education  teaches  one  how  to  live  a  better  life,  it  teaches one  about  the  relationship  and  manner  of  living  in  a society,  education  is  the  basic  necessity  for  any   society  development  and  helps  in  improving  the  culture  of  peace.  Quality  education  would  also  help  to  increase  the  crtical  ability  of  Oro  people  to  diagnose  their  needs,  assert  their  right  thus  also  taking   greater  control  of  decisions affecting  their  lives. Education  gives  people  skills  and  knowledge  that  helps  them  in  solving  problems  which  affects  them, development  involves  solving  the  problems  which  affect  the  people  and  is  mostly  done  by  the  educated  leaders  in  the  society.

Quality  Education  also  plays  a  great  role  in  the  field  of  agriculture,  agriculture  which  plays  a  very  important  role  in  the development  of  Oro  as  a  whole,  in  addition  to  providing  food  and  raw  material,  it  also  provides  an  employment opportunity  to  very  large  percentage  of  the  population;  also  if  the  knowledge  of  education  in  agriculture  is  given to  students,  it  aids  in  their  performance  in  the  agricultural  field  thus  making  them  invest  new  ideas  which  can  assist  in  improving  the  rate  of  agriculture  in  Oro.

Quality  Education  is  the  mirror  of   the   society  and  the  seed  of  socio  economic  development,  it  transforms  people  from  ignorance  to  enlightenment,  from  shades  of  social  backwardness  to  social  improvement  and  a  nation  of   under-development  to  faster  social  and  economic   development.  Education  has  played  an  important  role  in  the  career  world  of  the  twenty  first  century. A  person  with  higher  education  will  be  easily  qualified  compared  to  a  person  without  an  extended education; as  one  will  be  prepared  to  do  various  tasks  that  careers  demand  as  well  as  meet  job  standards.  Moreover   Education  helps  an  individual  to  develop  a  unique  perspective  of  looking  at  life.

Education  develops  leaders;  with  education,  individuals  gain  confidence,  knowledge,  skills  and  experience   that   can effectively  and   efficiently  lead  a  group  of  people  towards  success. Education  also  plays  an  important  role  among  the  women of Oro, women who receives  high  level  of  education  will  plan   on   the  families  expenses   and   social   burden  thereby  leading  her  to  know  how  to manage   the  family  expenditure,  education  sharpens   financial  intelligence  among  women,  education  helps  in  developing  budgeting   skills  and  economic  understanding  that  will  set  them  in  a  good  stead  of  life.

Causes  of  poor  education  in  Oro  includes;  Lack  of  infrastructure,  many  schools  in   Oro  lack  proper  infrastructure  facilities, there  are  no  proper  facilities  for  sitting  in some  schools  as sometimes  children  are  made  to  sit  on  the floor  due  to  non availability  of  furniture,  low  income  also  act as  a cause of  poor  education  in  Oro  as teachers  get  very  less  income,  so  when they  are  not  satisfied  with  their  income,  they generally  do  not  give  proper  attention  to  the  child. When  there’s  poor  education  in  Oro society  we  can  perceive;  mass  poverty, bad governance  and  a  huge  level  of  corruption

In  order  to  achieve  a  more quality  education  in Oro, the  following  suggestions  should  be  adopted;  the  curriculum  of  education  in  Oro  should  be  updated  in  order  to  attract  more  number  of  students  and  creating  enthusiasm  in  them  for  learning. Moreover,  a  better  infrastructure  should  be  made  available,  teachers  appointed  should  be  more  efficient  and   effective  in  matters  relating  to  education,  in  addition,  making  learning  material  meaningful  in  order  to  sustain  the  efforts  of  the  students,   visual  aids  like  projectors  and  television  can  be  used  to  show  some  educational   movies,  some  special  sessions  or  classes  can  be  conducted  for  the  parents  to  make  them  realize  the  significance  of  education  for  their  children,  appreciating  the  efforts  of  student  through  provision  of  scholarships can  also  go  a long  way  in  improving  the  quality  of  education  in  Oro  society.

Conclusively,   Education  is  an  overall  process  of  not  only  personal  growth  but  an  enriching  growth  of  any  society  we  may  tend  to  find  ourselves  in, it’s  the  foundation  of  development  of  any  society.  Educated  youths  in  Oro  have  the  ability  to  think  beyond  their  stagnating  lives  thus  contributing  to  the  development  of  the society. Thus  education  is  the most  important  step  in  the  development  of  a  society  and  everyone  must  promote  it  to  the  next  level. Moreover  education  is  considered  a vital  element  in  the  development  of  a  society, I am  convinced  that  a well supported  and  easily  acceptable  educational  system  is  an  efficient  means  to  make  people  economically  conscious  thereby  making  them  actively  participating  in their  economic  prosperity  and  cultural  development. As  an  educator,  I  insist  that  education  should  be  given  first  and  foremost  in  the  service  of  democracy  which demand  not  only to  be  protected  against  decisions  but  to  be  part  of  decisions  that influences  the  society  in  every  possible  way. Quality  education  is  very  important  in  the  development  of  Oro  society  and  should  be  provided  adequately  to  all  people.
